Updating deers information
For changes to information like address, e-mail or phone number, service members can go to osd.mil/milconnect .Additionally, spouses and dependents can make changes to DEERS in the service member's absence (during a deployment), as long as they have a valid power of attorney (general power of attorney or a special power of attorney specifically for DEERS transactions) with them when they visit the MPS.And most importantly: both you and your military family must consistently update your information to DEERS, in order to receive full TRICARE benefits.WHEN TO UPDATE YOUR DEERS INFORMATION If you are an active duty military service member and decide to re-enlist, separate, retire, or move, make sure your information gets updated in DEERS as soon as possible.Updating your DEERS information helps your healthcare team continue to provide the best medical care to all of our past, present and future heroes.You must first return to a RAPIDS location, obtain a new CAC, and then you can use IDCO to update your PKI Certificates or add a PCC.For example, military network pharmacies determine your military TRICARE eligibility through DEERS.
